Wellness Points

Note: Wellness points should not be confused with Redemption points. Redemption Points (aka Incentive Points) can be awarded to any challenge type and if a member completes the challenge those redemption points will flow into Terryberry's Awards, where members can redeem those points.

Wellness Points in a Wellness Challenge

A member receives wellness points by logging a wellness metric, making a social entry (posting a journal entry or photo with their daily step log), or logging steps (including converted activities).

In wellness challenges, members log wellness metrics to accumulate wellness points, in order to complete the challenge.

Members can see how many points they have in the wellness challenge by navigating to the wellness challenge page.

Members can also log wellness metrics outside of challenges, and they will still accumulate wellness points. They can view those points via the Desktop Browser and navigate to My Dashboard > Points > Details.

Note: This view can be turned off if you prefer that members don't have access to view their wellness point totals.

They can download a report to see their points over time, and in what categories, by logging in via Desktop Browser and navigating to Settings > Account > Download Data.

Wellness points are always running in the background and whether you use them or not is up to you! Wellness points are a great way to move beyond movement- focused programs and expand into a full mind and body wellness experience. You can incentivize the wellness points in combination with challenges to keep members engaged.

For example you could run side challenges that focus on accumulating wellness points. For example, you could ask members to make 2 journal entries over the weekend and if they do, they'll be entered into a random drawing for an incentive. You'd be able to download reporting to see which members received points for making those entries.

Wellness points are awarded for all or nothing, meaning that if a member makes an entry it doesn't matter what the quality or quantity, only that they made it. For example, a member will get the same amount of points for logging 10 steps or 10,000 steps. This also applies to wellness metrics- you'll get the same amount of points for logging 1 mindfulness session or 5, or a rating of 1 or 10 on the nutrition scale.

Wellness metrics are always private to the member. The Admins can see that an entry was made but not what value was entered. Members can adjust the privacy level on their journal and photo entries.
