Create a Custom Wellness Challenge
If you like the idea of wellness challenges but want to control which metrics count towards the challenge goal, you can create a custom wellness challenge.
Custom wellness challenges are wellness points- based challenges. Every time that a member logs a wellness metric (like water, nutrition, sleep, etc.) which is included in the challenge, they will receive wellness points that progress them through the challenge. If they've logged enough metrics throughout the challenge, they'll have the required wellness points to complete the challenge.
Note: These wellness points should not be confused with Terryberry redemption/incentive points. The wellness points shown in a wellness challenge are not redemption points. When you create a custom wellness challenge, you'll have the option to Incentivize the challenge with redemption points.
Note that these challenges don't include a themed email template or poster. There is a general poster you can use at the bottom of this article.
- Open your Admin Panel
- Select the Challenges tab
- Select Create a Challenge Template
- Add a title, and a picture and/or description
- Select the wellness metrics that you'd like to be tracked in this challenge
- Metric options include: Nutrition, Weight, Mindfulness Sessions, Mood, Water, Heart Rate, Sleep, Steps, Reflection (includes Journal Entries and Photos)
- You can't adjust the wellness point amount of these metrics. To see how many wellness points they are worth, hover over the question mark icon next to the metric.
- You can't include a step goal in these challenges. If you select to include steps, members will receive full points for logging any amount of steps.

- Select Save
- Go back to the Challenges tab in the Admin Panel
- Select Create a Challenge
- Search for the challenge that you created
- Select your challenge
- Enter the Challenge Settings and the (wellness) Points Goal Per Day
- Best practice is to set the daily point goal slightly lower than the total possible-
- Example: if members can achieve 15 Total Potential Challenge Points Per Day, enter 14 or 13 for the Points Goal per Day. This will give a little wiggle room for members so they can still complete the challenge even if they miss a day or two of logging wellness metrics.

- You can Incentivize this challenge, if you have Terryberry Awards and would like to give redemption points to members for completing the challenge.
